Established in 1991, BVG Airflo Group PLC has grown rapidly. With the acquisition of Airflo, one of Europe's largest fishing tackle manufacturers, came the fly fishing mail order division - Fishtec, followed shortly after by the purchase of its major competitor, Tightlines Direct. Tightlines is now one of the biggest mail order fly fishing companies in Europe.
Each mail order catalogue offers a huge range of products including clothing, tackle and accessories - in fact, everything the fly fishing enthusiast could possibly need!
All names and addresses have been recuited through traditional direct response methods and through their websites www.fishtec.co.uk and www.tightlines.co.uk.
Customers are male, mainly 35-70 years old, with high levels of disposable income and used to buying fishing tackle and outdoor clothing by mail order. Their interests include fishing, outdoor pursuits and walking.
