Health & Home Shopping's customers are initially recruited through direct mail, off-the-page advertising and minilogues in the national press. Orderers are then mailed a full colour catalogue every fortnight featuring the latest range of kitchenware, cleaning/household goods, gardening equipment, living aids, electricals, innovative household gadgets, plus gifts, entertainment and health & beauty products.
The customer base are fully incentivised with entry into a Free £25,000 prize draw & a free gift should they meet the qualifying order value.
List profiling has shown that customers are predominantly C1/C2, 61% female and own their own homes. 82% of the customer file is over 60 years of age. 64% of the file have a credit card and they are keen mail order shoppers.
Common hobbies include gardening, bingo, reading, crosswords & puzzles, over 50% are charity donors and the bulk are prize draw entrants and very responsive to a variety of offers.
